The
25th Hong Kong Industrial Products Exhibition was held
from December 5, 1967 to January 9, 1968. It was named
the Silver Jubilee Exhibition of Hong Kong Products. The
exhibition was held at the new reclaimed land in Hung
Hom with an area exceeding 600,000 square feet. The Hong
Kong Government participated in the exhibition by
putting up an exhibition centre of educational products
and materials. The CMA also worked with the Trade
Development Council to gather reputable industrial
products of Hong Kong for exhibiting in the Hong Kong
Products Display Centre. To inform visitors more about
Hong Kong's industries, movies on industrial knowledge
were shown throughout the exhibition. Different kinds of
activities were also staged every night. CMA members
actively took part in the Silver Jubilee Exhibition.
Part of the exhibition venue was designated for Britain,
U.S., Germany, Japan, Canada, Italy and Yugoslavia to
exhibit their up-to-date machinery and materials. The
exhibition lasted 36 days and attracted about 2 million
visitors.
