Miss Exhibition Pageant
Miss Exhibition Pageant was one of the
highlights of the past Industrial Products Exhibitions.
After a lapse of 20 years, the Pageant was launched to
recall the good old memories of visitors to the
Exhibition, and to select goodwill ambassadors to
promote Hong Kong's industry. A series of promotional
activities were launched for the 32nd Miss Exhibition
Pageant starting from late August, 1994. The first press
conference for the Pageant was held on August 23, 1994
at the CMA Building to announce the organization of the
Pageant and the application procedures. Contestants must
be employees of the exhibitors and nominated by the
latter. The contestants, representing their companies,
had to station in their booths during the Exhibition
period, and introduce their companies’ products to
visitors. The preliminary of the Pageant was held during
the four-day Exhibition. Visitors would vote for the
ideal Miss Exhibition according to the contestants’
manner, communication skills, knowledge on the products
and Hong Kong’s industry as well as the appearance.
During the Exhibition period, the six contestants having
the highest numbers of ballots would be announced
everyday. The six contestants with the highest
cumulative ballots could enter the final on November 9,
1994 at the CMA’s Anniversary Dinner. Title winners of
the Miss Exhibition Pageant would become goodwill
ambassadors of the industrial sector to assist and
participate in activities organized by the CMA in
promotion of Hong Kong industry. Enthusiastic responses
were received after the press conference.
