6. Lucky draw
Besides the Miss Exhibition Pageant and the Booth
Design Competition, the Association also launched lucky draws.
Prizes included four gold coupons, a TV set, a laser disc
player, a travel coupon, a micro-wave oven, a mini Hi-Fi,
a video cassette recorder, an electronics dictionary and a
keyboard. All voters of Miss Exhibition Pageant would automatically
enter the draw. Lucky numbers were drawn each day by famous
artists performed in the radio live programs.

Commemorative first day cover
In
celebration of the re-staging of the Hong Kong
International Industrial Products Exhibition and the CMA
60th anniversary, the Association, together with the
Cultural Collections Co, Hong Kong, issued two kinds of
commemorative first day covers stamped with memorable
chops. Publication of the golden first day cover was
limited to 2,000 each selling HK$150 while the ordinary
first day cover's circulation was limited to 20,000 at
HK$15 each. Both kinds of covers were reserved for CMA
members' advanced subscription while the rest were sold
out on the first day of the 32nd Exhibition.
CMA
hosts Gratitude Dinner CMA hosted dinner in honour of various guests
on November 24, 1994 to convey the Association's sincere
gratitude to their support in the organization of
the 32nd Hong Kong International Industrial Products
Exhibition. Mr Herbert Liang, CMA President, addressed
thank-you speech at the event and presented souvenirs to various
General Committee members participated in the Exhibition
including Mr Leung Nai Wing, Chairman of the 32nd
Exhibition; Mr Tony Chau, Chairman of the Business
Promotion & Souvenir Sub-committee; Mr Graham Cheng, Chairman of the Reception
Sub-committee; Mr Lam Hok Po, Chairman of the Treasury
Sub-committee; Mr Lo Man Tuen, Chairman of the Programme
Sub-committee; Mr Lau Chi Yuen, Chairman of the Security
Sub-committee; Mr Thomas Chan, Chairman of the Ticketing
Sub-committee and Mr Fung Yuen Hon, Chairman of the
Publicity Sub-committee. |

Meanwhile, CMA Vice-President Mr Leung Nai
Wing, representing the Association, presented souvenir
to Mr Herbert Liang, CMA President and the Chairman
of China & Overseas Liaison Liaison Sub-committee.
When addressing the occasion, Mr Liang gave credit
to all CMA General Committee members for their active
participation in the re-staging of the 32nd Exhibition.
He stated that during the year, all CMA General Committee
members had given their ulmost efforts to achieve
the best outcome. He opined that after 20 years of
suspension, the 32nd Exhibition had gained both favourable
comments and criticisms, yet the Association should
be satisfied with the outcome. Meanwhile the Association
was collecting comments and preparing evaluation of
the 32nd Exhibition.

Mr
Liang also thanked those who played significant roles in
organizing the Exhibition, especially Mr Leung Nai Wing,
CMA Vice-President and Chairman of the Exhibition. Mr
Leung had significant contributions in the previous
Exhibitions. In the 32nd Exhibition, he, together with
other General Committee members, had worked hard in the
Exhibition. Mr Liang hoped that the Association could
keep this excellent tradition.
Those attended the dinner included the champion
of the 32nd Miss Exhibition Pageant Ms Fiona Yu, second
runner-up Ms Roy Hui and other contestants; nominators,
sponsors and judges of the pageant.
