Judges of the Chinese Essay Competition commented
that there was a great difference in the age of the
contestants, ranging from 11 to 78. However their
standards were very close. Therefore, it was not easy
to decide the winners. The winning pieces were selected
as they had outstanding performance both in origination
                            and fluency in writing.
