Expo Review

36th Exhibition

The championship went to Ms Elke So who was crowned by CMA President Mr Chan Wing Kee and the champion of the 35th Miss Exhibition Pageant Ms Simy Cheung. The first runner-up was Ms Pearl Lo who was crowned by Chairman of the 36th Hong Kong Products Expo Executive Committee Dr Jose Yu and the first runner-up of the 35th Miss Exhibition Pageant Ms Helen Tin. Ms City Lee, the second runner-up, was crowned by Vice-President Mr Lo Man Tuen and the second runner-up of the 35th Miss Exhibition Pageant Ms Phyllis Wong. The title-winners will play the role of goodwill ambassadors to assist CMA in promoting Hong Kong's industry in the following year.

The Pageant received ardent support from sponsors. The Association appointed Beauty Tech Institute Ltd. as the official make-up consultant to provide make-up and image design training for the contestants. Il Colpo/ Architech Studio was invited as the official hair design. On the other hand, Charles Chan, Ip & Fung CPA Ltd. was invited as the official honourable auditors to assist in counting on-site and on-line public votes on the contestants of the Pageant. For sponsorship of the contestants' costume, CMA expressed gratitude to Yue Hwa Chinese Products Emporium Ltd. for providing cheong-sams, G Cube for casual wear and Royal King Int'. Ltd. for sports wear.

2. Presentation Ceremony of Miss Exhibition Pageant

On January 17, 2002, a prize presentation ceremony of Miss Exhibition Pageant was held at the of Members' Gathering cum Gratitude Dinner for the 36th HKPE. The champion and the winner of "The Media's Most Favoured Miss Exhibition Award" Ms Elke So, was awarded a cash prize of HK$80,000 and Goodway home electrical appliance coupon sponsored by Goodway Electrical Enterprise Ltd., a set of diamond ornaments by CMA, MP17 Micro Peel System and treatment coupon by DR Esthetic Product Research & Production Centre, Pak Fung Pill by Wai Yuen Tong Medicine Co. Ltd., Imperial Tea gift voucher by Imperial Tea, make-up image class and service by Beauty Tech Institute Ltd., natural health product (Beauty & Healthy) by Long Far Herbal Medicine Mfg.
