The second runner-up and the winner of "The Best Eloquence Award" Ms City Lee, was awarded a cash prize of HK$30,000 and Goodway home electrical appliance coupon sponsored by Goodway Electrical Enterprise Ltd., a set of diamond ornaments by CMA, MP17 Micro Peel System and treatment coupon by DR Esthetic Product Research & Production Centre, make-up image class and service by Beauty Tech Institute Ltd., natural health product (Beauty & Healthy) by Long Far Herbal Medicine Mfg. (HK) Ltd., Imperial Tea gift voucher by Imperial Tea, German Tops coupon by Mutual Prosper Co. Ltd., instant birdnests by Lo Hong Ka Birdnests Wholesale Ltd., True Taste Bowl Noodle and Hot Bowl Noodle by Triple Noodle & Food and a camera by Stereo Ltd.

3. Booth Design Competition

The Booth Design Competition has been one of the highlights of the HKPE since its inception. As preceding Expos, this year many exhibitors put much effort in booth design and product display in order to attract more visitors. They all tried hard to make their booths look as elegant and outstanding as possible. CMA invited representatives from six co-organizers as judges of the competition. They included General Manager of Destination Marketing of Hong Kong Tourism Board Mr Lambert Chan, Head of Design of Hong Kong Trade Development Council Mr Matthew Leung, Vice-Chairman of Young Executives' Sub-committee of The Chinese General Chamber of Commerce Mr Peter Tse, General Manager of Chamber Services of The Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce Ms Connie Kwok, Director of Design Protection Centre of Federation of Hong Kong Industries Mr Liu Kwok Bond, and Vice Chief Executive of The Hong Kong Chinese Enterprises Association Mr Zhu Shixiong.

To cater for different design requirements of indoor and outdoor booths, the competition was specially divided into Indoor Booth Category and Outdoor Booth Category. The judges visited the booths during the Expo for assessment. Finally, six winners were chosen according to the selection criteria including overall design, product display and integration of booth design with product features for the best effect. Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) won both the overall champion and champion of the Indoor Booth Category. The spectacular booth design brought HKPC the above awards. Hong Kong Post won the first runner-up for its simple booth design and clear theme. Modern Beauty Salon Centre won the second runner-up by incorporating the Egyptian androsphinx into the booth design and creating a mysterious atmosphere. In the Outdoor Booth Category, German Tops won the champion because of its spectacular booth design and innovative product display. By successfully adopting different kinds of product models to highlight the theme, Goodway Electrical Enterprise Ltd won the first running-up. Lee Kum Kee (HK) Ltd., with a huge and attractive product model, was the second runner-up. The prize presentation of the competition was held on December 19, 2001 at the exhibition venue.
